01
Receive, Review & Reserve
Receive tailored investment brief and review hotel options on the unit availability and price list. Reserve your preferred hotel unit(s) to confirm your hotel interest and the corresponding shareholding.
02
Submit Application
Complete the wholesale investor application in the Information Memorandum and submit to Conrad Funds Management Ltd (CFML). Complete CFML’s legal onboarding and AML while your lawyer undertakes due diligence on your behalf.
03
Approval
Upon confirmation you qualify as a wholesale investor - execute agreement with CFML to manage your investment during the investment period. CFML as manager and you as guarantor execute agreements with the hotel manager and hotel developer.
04
Approval
Funds count for Active Investor Plus visa purposes upon the payment of your investment amount in full and the registration of shares in an Active Investor Plus “approved company” in your name.
Note: If your investment is less than the overall investment minimum for Active Investor Plus (AIP) visa purposes, currently $5m NZD, the balance of funds will need to be invested into acceptable investments in order for your investment period for AIP visa purposes to commence – consult your immigration adviser.
05
Funds Invested
Your company transfers the investment funds into the Stakeholders’ Trust account during development of the hotel. Funds begin earning interest immediately.
06
Have a Vacation
Spend at least 21 days in New Zealand over
the 3 year investment term while holding the resident visa.
07
International Hotel Opens
Completion of the hotel triggers settlement and the pre-allocated freehold strata title is transferred into your investment company.
Your unit(s) are required to be part of the hotel pool for 15 years generating pooled income proportional to your shareholding.
Note: After the fifteen year period, there will be two extension options of 5 years each by mutual agreement between the hotel management company and the hotel operator, meaning that participation in the hotel pool could be extended.
08
Become a Kiwi
At the end of the 3 year visa investment period apply to Immigration New Zealand for NZ Permanent Residency. Additional conditions apply, please consult your immigration advisor.
